A6A1 Z80 Remote Interface Board for the RA6790/GM

We can now supply the A6A1 connecting cable for the RA6790/GM receiver using the F8 A6A2.
Configured for RS232 working .
It is 1 metre in length and has the DB9 pin Female connector at one end and the circular 26 pin Amphenol connector at the other.
The cable has been wired for address code 37 and communication options of :
A baud rate of 19200 - 8bits - no parity N and 1 stop bit.

All cables have been extensively tested before dispatch. ( Mil spec double screened cable & screened connector shells can also be provided)

The A6A1 remote control interface cards can now be supplied with either the DB25 data connector or the original 26W circular Amphenol connector.
New interface connecting cables are also available upon request.

The Z80 A6A1 asynchronous board is constructed with all ICs mounted in DIL sockets, the board has silk screen printing for easy component identification and a protective solder mask has been applied ensuring a high level of protection for the copper tracks. All components used are either new or “new old stock” and all parts are readily available in the general electronics market place. The input / output electrical interface consists of the Z80 A6A1 asynchronous interface board assembly which will connect to your PC / laptop through the DB25 A6A1 W1J1 Connector that will be present at the rear of the receiver in the usual A6A1 connector position. The interface board which provides separate lines for command input and monitor output data, will allow for 10 receivers to be connected to a common input / output bus. Addressing of the receiver is achieved by pre-configuration of the connecting cable and unless otherwise requested the address code 37 will be supplied.
The Z80 A6A1 interface meets RS232C, RS422 & RS423 standards and these can be selected by individual jumper links on the A6A1 board. The Z80 A6A1 interface board conforms to the original Racal board A09970-1 in design and concept, varying only in the type of external connector used. This A6A1 board is designed to work with the Z80 A6A2 Microcomputer board for the Racal RA6790/GM receivers.
The board can be fitted with an aluminium bracket to close off the rear entry hole of the receiver back panel.
